Join us in celebrating the rich tapestry of talent and creativity from Redmire — and slightly beyond.

We take immense pride in serving as Redmire’s vibrant hub, spotlighting the diverse array of talents and skills found within our community's artists and crafters.

From captivating paintings to intricately crafted woodwork, and everything in between, we are dedicated to showcasing the extraordinary creativity that thrives in our midst.

We honor and support our local artisans, providing them with a platform to shine and sharing their unique perspectives with the world — whether on our walls, or here on our website.

Thimble and Feather

Thimble and Feather was created after Sue moved to live in the Yorkshire Dales. Sue enjoys making various items that are inspired by the countryside.

Sue loves repurposing items such as broken jewelry, offcuts of material, and natural products such as feathers. All items are made by Sue in Redmire at her home. Repurposing makes Sue's creations more unique and unusual, and less likely to be repeated. Sue often uses machine embroidery on her items too.

Most items can be posted (England only).

You can see Sue’s latest creations here on Facebook, or email directly at Thimbleandfeather@hotmail.com

Creative Carer

Heather was a carer for her mum who had Alzheimer's for 10 years. Her mum was a talented artist and crafter, and introducing Art Therapy into her daily routine not only slowed her cognitive decline but also improved her quality of life. Together, they embarked on a creative dementia journey, and in 2016, Heather opened an Etsy shop for her mum to sell her beautiful creations. They donated a percentage of their sales to the Alzheimer's Society, and Mum was featured in various publications and newspapers. You can find links to these on Heather's website www.creative-carer.com.

Unfortunately, Heather's mum passed away at the end of 2021, but she continues to craft in her memory and donate from her sales to the Alzheimer's Society. So far, their donation total is just short of £2,500.

Heather sells Alzheimer's art (cards and prints featuring her forget-me-not watercolor paintings and well-known dementia poems) as well as a range of suncatchers. Her Pet Memorial suncatchers and Rainbow Bridge cat and dog cards have become her best sellers.

You can contact Heather via Etsy, Amazon Handmade, or on her Facebook page.
